World War II U.S. Navy Type CFT-52300 target transmitter manufactured by Federal Telephone & Radio Corp. of Newark, New Jersey, for use with Model DAU radio equipment. The identification plate records internal-battery power, Navy Bureau of Ships contract NXsr-41007, serial number 424, and Navy acceptance in February 1945. The black metal cabinet has a large calibrated tuning dial, four-position band selector, Hi/Lo output control, On/Off switch, and ICW/CW selector. A side-mounted frequency chart provides band and dial settings and records a calibration date of February 2, 1945.
