Pair of signed Jimi Hendrix posters, each approximately 17" x 24", representing two distinct artistic eras and creators.

The left poster, for the Shrine Auditorium, Feb. 10, 1968, is a signed work by John Van Hamersveld, noted for his high-contrast portrait style and geometric border design. This piece reflects the Pinnacle Concerts aesthetic and showcases Van Hamersveld's iconic graphic approach to late-1960s rock promotion.

The right poster, for The Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Royal Albert Hall, Feb. 24-25, 1969, is a signed contemporary reinterpretation by Bill Masse, featuring vivid psychedelic color, stylized portraiture, and swirling decorative motifs characteristic of Masse's modern concert-poster work.

Together, these posters offer a compelling contrast between an original 1960s graphic-design master and a modern artist working in the psychedelic revival tradition. A strong two-poster lot for collectors of Hendrix memorabilia, rock-era ephemera, and signed poster art.

ARTIST BIO - John Van Hamersveld
John Van Hamersveld is an American graphic artist best known for his influential work in 1960s rock-poster design and pop-culture illustration. His high-contrast portrait style and bold geometric compositions defined the visual identity of numerous Pinnacle Concerts, including posters for Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and Jefferson Airplane. Van Hamersveld's work spans music, surf culture, and commercial art, with his Endless Summer poster considered one of the most recognizable graphic designs of the 20th century.

Bob Masse is one of Canada's most influential rock-poster artists, known for helping define the visual language of the 1960s and 1970s psychedelic-concert era. Beginning his career in Vancouver's counterculture scene, Masse produced posters for major performers including The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and countless West Coast venues. His work blends Art Nouveau influences with flowing linework, ornate borders, and vivid color palettes, creating a distinctive style that remains highly recognizable and widely collected. Over several decades, Masse has continued producing limited-edition prints and signed reissues, maintaining a legacy as one of the most important and enduring figures in North American poster art.
