Golf-themed group comprising three cast pewter character figurines and four clear, footed pilsner glasses. The sculptural figures depict a golfer standing with a club, a woman carrying a golf bag, and an older golfer posed beside a bag. Their textured bases bear the name Philip Kraczkowski; photographed undersides include Rawcliffe Pewter copyright 1980 marks and a Handcrafted Pewter Made in U.S.A. label. Each glass is decorated with an applied oval, pewter-tone golfing medallion and an inscribed banner identifying a stage or setting of play: "The Putt," "The Fairway," "The Drive," and "The Sand."

ARTIST / CREATOR BIOGRAPHY
Philip Kraczkowski (1916-1996) was an American sculptor born in Attleboro, Massachusetts. He developed an early talent for modeling and attended the Rhode Island School of Design for three years before a family illness brought him home. Much of his long career unfolded in a modest studio on his family's Lindsey Street dairy farm, where he worked independently amid the rural surroundings of southeastern Massachusetts.

Kraczkowski moved comfortably between humor and formal portraiture. His colorful caricature figures drew upon sports, farm life, frontier characters, and everyday personalities, combining close observation with an affectionate comic sensibility. He also produced bronze portrait busts, commemorative medals, trophies, and small-scale cast sculptures, giving his work a broad reach from intimate collectibles to official commissions.

Among his best-known achievements was the sculpting of the original G.I. Joe head for Hasbro in 1963. His other projects included busts of Lowell Thomas, J. Edgar Hoover, and General Curtis LeMay, along with presidential and institutional medallions. Over a career spanning more than six decades, Kraczkowski maintained a direct, character-driven approach that remains especially evident in his expressive sporting figures and narrative pewter sculptures.
