Pair of black ink architectural drawings on paper by Jerry Rivard. One depicts the New Westminster Armouries at Sixth Street and Queens Avenue, accompanied by the crest of The Royal Westminster Regiment. The second depicts the New Westminster Court House and Land Registry Office against a simplified city skyline. Both are signed, titled, dated 1978, and presented under glass in black frames.

ARTIST / CREATOR BIOGRAPHY
Jerry Rivard (born 1944) is a Canadian Métis artist and graphic artist associated with British Columbia. He studied at the Vancouver School of Art and developed a practice moving between fine art, illustration, and commercial graphic design. His precise draftsmanship lends itself to architecture, portraiture, and regional subjects, while his later work also includes acrylic painting. Rivard has longstanding ties to Fort Langley, where Jerry Rivard Graphic Artist Ltd. and Graphics Garage were based. That design background is reflected in his assured lettering, economical lines, and carefully structured compositions. In 1993, his portrait of Heiltsuk leader Brenda Campbell was unveiled at a potlatch and installed in the Native Brotherhood offices, recognizing her advocacy in health and education. His work was also represented in the 2004 Art Exhibition of Canada and Korea, a Vancouver-linked international group exhibition. Across these varied projects, Rivard's career connects applied graphics with personal artmaking and the visual recording of British Columbia's people, buildings, and communities.
