Original watercolor by Canadian artist Grant W. Fuller depicting a tranquil forest lake bordered by conifers and autumn-toned grasses. Reflections extend across the calm water beneath a pale blue sky, with distant wooded slopes adding depth to the horizontal composition. Signed Grant Fuller at lower right. The watercolor is presented beneath a white mat and glazing in a silver-tone metal frame. The reverse retains artist information sheets and a Timms Fine Art Gallery label from Victoria, British Columbia.

ARTIST / CREATOR BIOGRAPHY
Grant William Fuller (1943-2016) was a Canadian watercolorist, teacher, and author born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His family moved west during his childhood, first to Vancouver and later to Duncan on Vancouver Island. Fuller trained at the Vancouver School of Art, where he developed the strong foundation in drawing that remained central to his painting and instruction. He began his professional career in commercial art and advertising in Toronto, working as a layout artist and art director before moving into broadcast production. In 1984, Fuller returned to British Columbia and devoted himself to painting and teaching watercolor full time. He settled first in Victoria and later in Comox, drawing enduring inspiration from Vancouver Island's coastal waters, forests, buildings, boats, and communities. Fuller taught workshops throughout Canada, the United States, and abroad, becoming known for a practical and encouraging approach grounded in careful observation and assured draftsmanship. He authored Watercolor A to Z and Start Sketching & Drawing Now, along with instructional programs devoted to watercolor and drawing. His paintings and lessons reflect a lifelong interest in translating familiar landscapes and everyday subjects into clear, atmospheric compositions. Fuller died in Comox on October 8, 2016, leaving an artistic legacy carried forward through his books, recorded demonstrations, paintings, and generations of students.
