Antique 38-piece British tableware set by George Jones & Sons, produced at the Crescent Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Each piece carries the authentic Crescent China backstamp, featuring the crescent moon framing the GJ monogram, with "CRESCENT" above and "& SONS / ENGLAND" below.

The underside includes the hand-painted pattern number 23890, a decorator-applied registry code used by George Jones instead of printed pattern names. The small "14" tally mark identifies the individual factory painter or gilder.

The presence of "ENGLAND" (without "Made in") and the high 23xxx pattern series date this set to the late Edwardian period through World War I, approximately 1910-1920. George Jones & Sons operated from 1864 to 1951 and were known for producing high-quality earthenware and bone china with refined hand-painted decoration.
