Introduced in the mid-1950s, the EICO HF-20 combines a preamplifier/equalizer with a 20-watt Ultra-Linear Williamson-type tube power amplifier. The bronze-finished metal cabinet has an openwork ventilated cover and a brass-tone faceplate with selector, level, loudness, bass, and treble controls. Input connections accommodate tape playback, television, tuner, auxiliary, and two phono sources. The selector provides RIAA, Columbia, London, American 78, and European 78 record equalization settings. Rear facilities include a tape-recording output, phono and tuner power receptacles, and 4-, 8-, and 16-ohm speaker connections. The identification plate specifies operation from 105-125 volts AC at 50/60 cycles, with 100-watt power consumption.
