A circa 1951 Masco Model ME-18 vacuum-tube public-address amplifier manufactured by Mark Simpson Mfg. Co., Inc. of Long Island City, New York. The five-tube amplifier is rated at 18 watts output and incorporates microphone and phonograph inputs with separate level controls, a tone control, and integrated power switch. The brown and gold metal enclosure has a ventilated cover protecting the transformers, tubes, and internal circuitry. Rear connections include microphone and phonograph inputs, dual speaker sockets, selectable impedance markings, and an attached two-prong power cord.
