Canadian National Revolver Club Slow Fire Handicap Trophy fashioned from a large First World War-era brass artillery shell case. The body is engraved "C.N.R.C. Slow Fire Handicap Trophy" and fitted with a copper plaque bearing the Canadian National Revolver Club crossed-revolver emblem.
A second copper plaque records monthly trophy winners from March 1939 through November 1941, including U.S. Beck, W.H. Bagg, H.V. Flett, H.A. Asch, J.F. Stewart and others. The front is additionally engraved "Won by J.F. Stewart 1942." Decorative cartridge cases have been mounted around the base.
The shell base is marked "18 PR II," identifying it as a British-pattern 18-pounder artillery cartridge case, Mark II, together with additional manufacturing and inspection markings including C.F., BSC and 10/15, the latter consistent with an October 1915 production date.
