Carved wooden egg-form sculpture mounted on a rectangular wood base, featuring an abstract incised design with contrasting dark and lighter wood tones.

The sculpture was accompanied by a note attributing it to Stanley "Michael" Minot (1923-2005), a British-born Canadian sculptor and art educator who worked extensively in wood and taught art in British Columbia. Contemporary biographical information describes Minot as a renowned wood sculptor whose works included a relief depicting the history of Langley installed at Langley Municipal Hall.

No signature or identifying artist's mark has been located on the sculpture, so the Michael Minot attribution has not been independently authenticated and is presented as an attribution based on the accompanying note.
