Antique carved oak spinning chair featuring a tall, intricately decorated backrest and a low octagonal seat supported on three turned legs. The back and seat display deep relief carvings of dragons and foliage, blending traditional spinning-chair proportions with highly stylized decorative motifs. The tall back and compact seat are characteristic of European spinning chairs, originally designed for use beside a spinning wheel.
This example shows strong hand-carved detail, warm oak patina, and a sculptural presence that makes it suitable as a display accent, folk-art collectible, or decorative hall chair.
