A substantial and impressive collection of high-quality German pewter pieces, the majority bearing the "SKS ZINN 95% / Made in Germany" touchmark - indicating premium 95% tin content pewter produced by SKS, one of Germany's most respected modern pewter manufacturers. Together these pieces form an exceptional decorative table service with strong gifting and display provenance.
The collection includes:
Engraved Birthday Presentation Plate - A large round pewter charger with scrollwork border and central laurel wreath encircling an engraved personal dedication reading "Happy Birthday / Harry / 60." A charming commemorative piece.
Set of 6 Pewter Plates/Chargers - Matching round and oval plates with deeply embossed acanthus scroll borders, consistent with the SKS Zinn production line. Five plain and one matching the engraved birthday example above.
Large Footed Punch/Presentation Bowl - A magnificent large footed bowl with extensively embossed all-around frieze depicting grape treading, harvest scenes, and Baroque figures - base marked "Made in Germany." A centrepiece-quality piece.
Pewter Ewer/Claret Jug - A tall elegant pear-shaped ewer with a dramatically swept spout, ornate scrolled handle with figural detail, and embossed Alpine village scene with figures on the body. Marked "SKS Zinn 95%."
SKS Jahres-Edition Art Beakers (Pair) - Two large pewter beakers from the SKS Annual Edition "Malerei des Abendlandes" (Paintings of the Western World) series, one depicting Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863) and one depicting Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792), with relief scenes taken from their most celebrated works. Base-inscribed with edition details.
Village Scene Beakers (Pair) - Two pewter beakers with deeply embossed genre scenes of European village life - a market vendor and a gathering of townspeople. Marked SKS Zinn 95%.
Floral Band Beakers (Pair) - A matched pair of elegant footed pewter beakers with embossed floral garland mid-band and gadrooned foot rings. Marked SKS Zinn 95%.
Hunting Horn (Trinkhorn) - A dramatic all-pewter drinking horn with embossed hunting scenes including a stalking huntsman, game animals in medallions, oak leaf borders, and a suspended shield pendant with hunting motif. Suspended on original leather strap. Marked "SKS Zinn 95%."
Napkin/Letter Holder - A decorative pewter napkin or letter holder with pierced Rococo surround and embossed romantic scene of a couple embracing before a village backdrop with clock tower.
Shot/Schnapps Cups - Multiple small embossed pewter shot cups with figural and village scene decoration.

Payment Details:
If your picking your items up, you can save 2% by paying cash or debit, NO discount for E-Transfer! All items not paid for within 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction, will be charged on your card. If items are being shipped, your card will be charged twice. Once for your items and again by UPS when shipping has been calculated. Invoices will be sent out at the conclusion of the auction.

Live auctions will be subject to a 18% buyers premium (unless otherwise noted).
Online bidding during the Live Auction is a fast process, and therefore there is no confirmation given - bids will be taken immediately and are irrevocable.
The highest bidder shall be the purchaser upon the completion of bid verification. Bid verification will commence upon the conclusion of a live auction. All winning bidders shall be notified by email within the 24 hour bid verification period.
No bidder shall retract their bid. In the event of a dispute between two or more bidders, the auctioneer, at his/her sole discretion may put the lot up for resale to the highest bidder.
A bidder is deemed to have accepted an item when making a bid.
The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot at any time prior to the time of sale of such lot.
The auctioneer reserves the right not to accept any bid which is only a partial advance over the preceding bid.
The auctioneer may break down or consolidate any lot or lots at his/her sole discretion.
The Mad Picker assumes no responsibility for any liability once a bid is accepted. It is recommended that purchasers arrange insurance for their purchases in advance.
Except as set out herein, there shall be no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied, statutory or otherwise of any nature.
Please take advantage of in person preview as all items are sold "As Is, Where Is" - catalogs are prepared only as a guide. No sale shall be invalidated by any reason or defect or inaccuracy of description in catalog or otherwise, and no liability shall be borne by the auctioneers by virtue of any such fault or error. All sales final.
All applicable excise and sales taxes shall be added to the purchase price.
The purchaser is not entitled to possession until all items have been paid for in full. In the event that the purchase prices are not paid within the prescribed time, the auctioneer shall have the right to resell such items in whatever manner he/she sees fit without notice to the purchaser. Any shortfall from sale plus commission and expenses thereof shall be paid by the purchaser.
All costs and responsibilities of removal shall be borne by the purchaser/bidder within the time prescribed by the auctioneer. The auctioneer may require proof of adequate insurance from the purchaser. The purchaser/bidder herby indemnifies the auctioneer and the vendor against any and all damages arising from the dismantling and removal of any lots.
Any lots not picked up in the prescribed time shall be deemed as abandoned and property of the auction unless previous arrangements have been made.
If for any reason, The Mad Picker is unable to deliver any or all of an awarded lot or title thereof, the sole liability of The Mad Picker Auctions shall be the refund of any monies paid on the lot.
It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to remove their items within the prescribed time. The Mad Picker will NOT provide any delivery or transport of any nature for live auction items.
