RCA Victor Strato-World model 3-BX-671 seven-band portable tube radio, documented in RCA service data issued in 1953. The five-tube superheterodyne receiver covers standard AM broadcast and six shortwave ranges from 2.0 to 18.2 MHz. Features include a multiband horizontal dial and separate bass and treble controls. It operates on 115-volt AC/DC power at 20 watts or an RCA VS047 battery pack. The brown suitcase-style cabinet has stitched edging, brass-tone latches, a carrying handle, and a lift-up lid containing a printed world time map.
